On last week’s User Created challenge, we invited you to record a new “It Came From eBay!” introduction. We had lots of great entries, but here are the favorites:

1. Jamie P.
2. Jingle and Brendan-style entries from Mark Blasco
3. Beatbox version by Alain Williams
4. Rocking out with Jonah Taylor
5. Long “e” from Ryan Gittins

And a bonus runner-up by Zach Collier!

The jiggle was really good. The german techno one was funny.

I don't know that I agree with you guys. Marks stuff was great, but personally I have to give props to the little guy with the long E. That takes some serious lung power. But then again I am jealous that my piece did not get picked. I felt it was extemely good, and it's brilliance was in its simplicity. Just 5 seconds long it is my own voice altered using audacity. It sounds like there is a monster groaning and evil foot steps in the background which is all my own voice altered and changed. It is hard to believe, but all I started with was "ICFE" in my own voice and before I knew it I had all sorts of background effects. Anyways, if I had some place to post it I would myself and let you guys judge it. Oh well, now that I know that audio challenges will be judged more on personal talents, rather then what one can do with audio in post preduction with a program like audacity(which is an art form in itself) I will win next time for sure.

The jingle. Most definitely, the jingle.

    Though "rocking out" was close.

I have a lot more stuff like that on my webpage at http://www.markblasco.com

I do a lot of this kind of stuff in my sare time, and even did the theme song for This Week in Tech (the podcast with Kevin Rose, Leo Laporte, Patrick Norton, etc.) as well as a bunch of other podcasts.

    the jingle is the best...

    I could see it now...

a 1950s cartoon-esque kevin pereira giving a thumbs up and wink next to an auction block
