Long before there were disgustingly funny web ‘toons like Happy Tree Friends, there was the Spike and Mike traveling animation festival. Specializing in cartoons with titles like “Schindler’s Fist,” Spike and Mike influenced generations of twisted animators—and it still does so today with a variety of shows and DVDs.
“We do it out of desperation, but we’re going to be rich some day,” vowed festival founder and namesake Spike.
“Spike is like the retarded uncle I never had,” said longtime friend “Weird Al” Yankovic.
Behold the glories of the Spike and Mike animation empire at spikeandmike.com. To get an idea of what Spike means by “sick and twisted” animation, visit his online gallery of ‘toons.
Meanwhile, you can delve into the world of special guest “Weird Al” Yankovic at weirdal.com.
