Superman: Man of Steel Teaser Poster

The panel for Superman: Man of Steel wowed fans at Comic-Con over the weekend with a yet-to-be-released teaser trailer. Fans not at the Con got to take some solace with this new killer teaser poster, showing close details of new Superman, Henry Cavill's new, seemingly mesh-armored super-suit.

Director Zack Snyder was still playing coy about the villain situation, even though it is widely-known (or believed, anyway,) that Michael Shannon is escaped Krytonian war criminal, General Zod and Antje Traue is his super-powered lady-friend, Faora. However, this new poster and the reception of the Con footage seems to imply that the Last Son of Krypton is in good hands.

Superman: Man of Steel crashes into theaters with one fist forward on June 14, 2013. Check out the full poster below!

Lobo Movie: The Rock Confirms He Could Star

In a bit of news that almost slipped by the barrage of Comic-Con reveals over the weekend, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson revealed via tweet, that the rumors which have him in the running to play DC Comics' badass intergalactic bounty hunter, Lobo are indeed true.

If he does get the part, it would reunite Johnson with his director in the recent 3D effort, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Brad Peyton, who was appointed to helm Lobo's big screen debut back in April.

Could The Rock be ready to drop the People's Elbow on some of the galaxy's nastiest candy-ass jabronis?

Dirty Laundry: Thomas Jane Returns As The Punisher!

Thomas Jane's one-time go in 2004 as Marvel's gun-toting, tortured, trenchcoat-sporting vigilante, The Punisher was a rather underrated affair that would not end up being continued with a proper sequel, but rather, with a highly-panned reboot effort in 2008 starring Ray Stevenson.

However, it seems that eight years later, Jane has reprised the role...in a ten-minute fan film called Dirty Laundry.

Check it out below, but be warned, it is full of bad language, gushing gore, and even Ron Perlman. But really, how could a Punisher film NOT have those things?

The Dark Knight Rises trailers have been epic enough, but thanks to this clip from Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the addition of a voice-over by Pee-Wee Herman really helps you appreciate how Batman is the luckiest boy in the world with all the cool toys, flying "not-a-cars," and voluptuous cat-burglars in his life.

Of course, Jambi the genie probably could have done him a solid by letting him know ahead of time that Bane was coming to town, but whatever.

Looks Like Spider-Man Is Home Alone

"Wow, look at that thorax! I wouldn't mind fertilizing the 3,000 eggs in her sacs...if you know what I mean.

...Man, what am I doing with my life?"

Daredevil Reboot Loses Director, Fantastic Four Gets One

It looks like things got shook up at 20th Century Fox's brand of Marvel comic book movies. The upcoming reboot of Daredevil has apparently lost director, David Slade. However, one of Fox's other reboot projects, Fantastic Four has gained some ground by scoring director, Josh Trank.

Most fans are likely in the mindset of hoping that all of Marvel Comics' film properties can be corralled back under the unifying Marvel Studios banner, so that quality can be improved and crossover potential with the other films would be available. However, as we've recently seen with the rather quick reboot effort of The Amazing Spider-Man over at Sony, the studios seem to be moving forward with these projects to not only anchor the film rights, but strike while the comic book iron is hot with The Avengers making ungodly box-office grosses and The Dark Knight Rises also looking to do the same starting next week.

Where do projects like Daredevil and Fantastic Four lie in the equation?

The Things Archie Does For Betty

Archie's little incident sure managed to chum the waters.

He was just doing what Jughead normally does to restaurant owners when he can't pay his burger bills.

I guess his strategy was to get these guys as docile and relieved as possible so that he could leave with Betty unnoticed.

Based on what we've already seen, it's clear that the epic tension between Batman and Bane in The Dark Knight Rises was missing a critical element: An annoying acrobatic teenager with a Boy Scout mentality who seems to preface too many things with the word, "holy."

Well, thanks to the folks at Above Average Productions, we no longer have to pine for the opportunity that director, Christopher Nolan missed by not including the green Speedo-sporting, elf-shoes-wearing boy wonder in his films.
