The List

Thor Character Posters Get

New character posters for Marvel's Thor have hit. Revealing the first two of what will be a total of six posters exclusive to IMDb, we get an interesting look at the characters of Chris Hemsworth's Thor and his Anthony Hopkins' Odin.

What's immediately evident, is that the term "character poster" has never been more germane. While it may not reveal anything new to any potential moviegoer that's been even moderately following this film, it is quite a unique strategy for a big-budget superhero epic like this. In fact, it's quite reminiscent of another recently-acclaimed film's poster. (We'll leave you to guess.)

Do take a look at the posters in their full glory just below.

Bootleg Toys Are Funny

Posted March 22, 2011 - By Joseph Baxter

Bootleg Toys Are Funny

Knockoff toys are serious business in parts of the world where intellectual property rights are as meaningless to manufacturers as proper English grammar and relevant context.

With that said, I bring to your attention Cracked's list of The 15 Most Unintentionally Hilarious Bootleg Toys.

The contenders range from a poorly-translated Superman Returns cash-in featuring the Man of Steel riding a dinosaur, to a Transformer who changes into (tastefully enough,) the Titanic.

However, the list topper is the one seen above, none other than the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' unmistakable, iconic -- "Gun." Either this was a pathetic attempt to slap a label on a completely unrelated item, or there's a fifth Turtle that's finally taking the practical approach.

Ralph Macchio Dominating Dancing With The Stars

Ralph Macchio just crane-kicked and drum-punched his way to domination on Dancing with the Stars last night. Sure, the often-insipid parade of gyrating C-list celebs always manages to serve as the show we all like to make people believe that we don't care about. But, not since the 1984 All Valley Karate Championship Tournament, has a more surprisingly serendipitous contender emerged. Dancing to (appropriately enough) "Ain't That a Kick in the Head," Daniel Larusso -- err, Ralph Macchio dominated a Fox Trot with partner Karina Smirnoff, earning the highest scores of the night. Barring some unscrupulous ruffians managing to sweep one of them, Macchio's legs may make a him a prime contender for the season's trophy.

Superman Reboot Eyes Viggo Mortensen?

Has Superman: Man of Steel found its General Zod? Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, it's quite possible that Viggo Mortensen could go from a philosophy that says "you bow to no one" to "kneel before Zod!" Rumors have him pegged as a "man of interest" in the casting process for Zack Snyder's reboot of the Superman franchise, which will star Henry Cavill as the new super-powered flying Kryptonian eye-beam...shooter...guy. Said to currently be in negotiations for Snow White and the Huntsman, Mortensen is apparently at the top of the casting list to play the role of the once-imprisoned, vengeance-seeking Kryptonian scientist made iconic by Terence Stamp in 1981's Superman II. (Despite wearing an outfit seemingly acquired at ABBA's garage sale.) So, could the Superman reboot be adding some royal Dúnedain blood to the mix?

Michael Bay To Pit Zombies Vs. Robots

It seems that the superfight between the forces of zombies and robots is about to take place on the big screen in the now-upcoming film titled: Zombies vs. Robots. (Lest they be vague about the premise.) Having acquiring the rights to adapt the eponymous graphic novel which was the brainchild of artist Ashley Wood and IDW Publishing's Chris Ryall, Sony Pictures plans to co-produce the film with Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes company, along with Circle of Confusion and original publisher IDW. Thus, a direct juxtaposition of this project to Bay, who is listed as one of six producers, is perhaps a tad premature. However, little analysis is required to put two and two together to realize that the maestro behind the biggest film franchise to contain giant anthropomorphic robots destroying the world has a stake in this film, and that he's set to permanently fold-up his director's chair for that franchise very soon. Yet, the film would be far from the first campy genre mashup to come down the pike. Would Zombies vs. Robots be the one to jump the shark? (Even if it was a zombified mutant shark with cyborg implants that fire torpedoes made of plasma and pain.)

The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik Pictures

We're sure that you nerds watching AOTS knew there was a statistically good chance that we'd post some pics of the newest star of The Big Bang Theory, Mayim Bialik on Attack of the Blog. Your calculations were indeed correct. Good for you! Now, put down your TI-86s, let your right brain take over for a while and enjoy these Mayim Bialik pictures. If you absolutely can't help but do some form of mathematics at all times, you can add watching this video of Mayim Bialik's interview with Kevin Pereira to your list of fun stuff to do (right above number two, which is probably calculus).

The Secret Ingredient in Coca-Cola's Recipe

This past weekend, NPR's This American Life revealed one of the nation's most highly guarded secrets: the original recipe to Coca-Cola. According to Ira Glass, the recipe--which has reportedly been locked away in a safe since the late 1800's--was published in an article from a 1979 issue of the Atlanta Journal Constitution and contains ingredients like lime juice, caramel, nutmeg and coriander.

So is anyone else super disappointed like me? Everyone knows how secret the Coca-Cola recipe is but how come there's nothing crazy and strange on the list to explain the soda's delicious and addicting taste? It can only mean that this "secret recipe" is totally wrong. There has to be that one missing magical ingredient (and no, we're not talking about cocaine), so check out our ideas of what this piece could be.

Marion Cotillard In Talks To Join The Dark Knight Rises

Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard is confirmed to be in negotiations to appear in The Dark Knight Rises. Validating weekend rumors linking the French-born actress to the upcoming third film in the current Batman series, a representative for Cotillard has told The Hollywood Reporter that the possibility of her involvement in the film is "in discussions, but nothing has been confirmed yet." Should it be finalized, this could potentially be the third cast member that director Christopher Nolan has imported from his film Inception, with Tom Hardy confirmed and Joseph Gordon-Levitt looking very likely. (Not to mention Cillian Murphy being in the previous two films.) As of now, no details or even rumors for that matter, have emerged as to exactly who she would play. With Anne Hathaway confirmed for Selina Kyle aka Catwoman, speculation about her would-be character could be difficult.
