The Hobbit: Benedict Cumberbatch Talks Smaug

Benedict Cumberbatch will soon be providing the voice of the flying, fire-breathing, gold-hoarding dragon who's set to terrify Middle Earth when The Hobbit kicks off in theaters next year. However, the actor recently discussed the specifics of his role and actually reveals some interesting details about how the character will be played.

Cumberbatch, known for playing the titular detective of the BBC's Sherlock, reveals to Collider that he'll be tackling this role not only behind the mic in a sound stage, but he'll also be putting on a motion capture suit, going all-out Andy Serkis to physically portray the winged mountain-squatting monster.

The Force Is Strong In This One

We're loving the meme about the UC Davis policeman using pepper spray on poor college students, but this one with Yoda has to be the best one yet. Am I right or am I right? You can check out a whole compilation here.

Save 'Community' Before It's Too Late!

This week, NBC announced their mid-season schedule, and AOTS favorite Community wasn't on it, which doesn't necessarily bode well for the show's future. It hasn't officially been canceled yet, so there's still time for you to voice your opinion to the powers-that-be in time to save the show for next Fall. First, you'll want to sign the petition to save the show, and, before you think to yourself that such things don't ever work, remember the plight of Jericho and Friday Night Lights, both of which were saved as a result of online petition.

And, just in case you need some inspiration to save the show, we've got a whole lot of reasons you might want to consider it, aside from the fact that it's one of the smartest and funniest shows on television, and possibly the very best of the dying breed of situation comedies out there today.

John Cho Plays The John Or Harold Game »

Last week, Kal Penn was on Attack of the Show and we subjected him a game of "Kal or Kumar." Then John Cho, his co-star in A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, came by and of course we had to play the same game. Except with John vs. Harold. Duh.

This is possibly the best example of hard-hitting journalism. When in Rome, do as the Romans do--especially when covering a story about the Romans. So when a high school student is unjustly suspended from school for donning a banana costume and running around the football field, do as this high school student would do and wear a grape costume.
