The Thing, the upcoming prequel to the 1982 John Carpenter horror classic of the same name (which, itself, was a remake) has released its first trailer.
Just a few days after a teaser poster hit, the snowy, nightmarish, paranoia that fueled the original film comes back to life. This time, instead of grizzled petri-dish-burner, Kurt Russell, we have Mary Elizabeth Winstead as our protagonist, whose paleontological expertise was called upon to research the finding of the sinister skinwalking alien that has just been discovered frozen in the arctic by the Norweigian research team mentioned in the original film. (And I don't think it'd be too spoileriffic to say it won't go well for them.)
Expect the film to hit sometime in October.
