According to Deadline, Sony Pictures has acquired Vaughn for the film on the heels of a script by Jeff Wadlow (Prey, Cry_Wolf), who is apparently getting a $450K payday against a cool million.

What exactly would Bloodshot bring to an already crowded field of comic book films?

Posted February 1, 2012 - By Joseph Baxter

I'm thinking that this might be a prototype of the new car feature called the Sheep Force Field.

Injuries due to accident will go down significantly and wool production will go through the roof. It's a win-win for the economy.

1st Annual Wayne Federman International Film Festival This Weekend!

You might not know Wayne Federman by name, but you've seen his face, we're sure of it. Mr. Federman has been in such movies as Legally Blonde, The 40 Year-Old Virgin, Step Brothers, 50 First Dates, and Funny People, and played Garry Shandling's brother Stan on the seminal 90's series The Larry Sanders Show. Wayne Federman knows comedy, and he knows a lot of other comedians, which was sort of the germ of inspiration for The 1st Annual Wayne Federman International Film Festival, which kicks off this weekend at Cinefamily in Hollywood, featuring some of the world's greatest comedians curating some of their favorite films, apropos of nothing except for the fact that they really love them.

The idea, Federman says, came to him when a friend (and former Simpsons writer) Rob Cohen rented a movie theater and showed the 1966 classic Batman, featuring the original Caped Crusader, Adam West, just because he really loved the movie. A couple years later, Patton Oswalt showed off The Fist Foot Way in similar fashion, and Wayne was attracted to the idea of comedians talking about and showing movies they'd had nothing to do with personally. So, he decided on a festival experience during which he would curate the comedians and they would curate the films.

Star Trek 2 Gets Kratos From God Of War

The casting process for the upcoming sequel to J.J. Abrams' Star Trek is moving along nicely with its latest acquisition, action film and motion capture actor, Joseph Gatt.

The nature of the role is still unknown, but considering Gatt's background, it is likely he will be adding some muscle to the nefarious forces aiding the film's villain played by Benedict Cumberbatch.

The actor, while seen in roles as Frost Giant Grundroth in Thor, and series, The Dark Path Chronicles, might have made his biggest mark in the world of video games, performing the motion capture acting for the deity-slaying Spartan, Kratos in God of War II and III and voice acting in Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Gatt will be latest addition to a cast that, among the returning Enterprise crew, features the previously-mentioned Cumberbatch, along with Alice Eve, Noel Clarke, and Robocop himself, Peter Weller.
