DVDuesday With Chris Gore

Chris Gore, expert movie reviewer, co-author of The Complete DVD Book and the guy behind Film Threat is a man who has made DVDs his business and business is good… unless he recommends a DVD as a “rental,” then business is just okay, we guess. Then again, he could recommend a DVD as a “pass” and then business would be bad.

Wait, we’re getting off track here. The point is, new DVDs are coming out and nobody wants to waste their time or money on garbage movies that will eventually end up in the actual garbage. Chris is here to help you avoid that in DVDuesday.

Today's reviews will include Lars and the Real Girl, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead and Hero Wanted.

Chris Gore, the mastermind behind Film Threat and co-author of The Complete DVD Book is back again and he’s brought a slew of new DVD releases with him.

He’ll be telling you which ones deserve a prominent spot on your shelf, which one’s are fun for a weekend and which ones need to be lit on fire and set adrift at sea, like Weekend at Bernie's 7: The Awakening (which is not a real movie, so you don’t need to look it up on imdb).

Tonight Chris will review The Golden Compass, Charlie Wilson's War and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!: Season 1.

It used to be that if you wanted to experience some big time cinematic thrills you had to go to the theater. Now, with HD TVs that have higher resolution than real life and price tags lower than what a ticket and a small bucket of popcorn costs, who needs to go out anymore?

Heat up some microwave popcorn, pour a glass of soda (or whatever your favorite beverage might be, you’re at home after all) and check out one of the great movies Film Threat’s Chris Gore has in store for you. The author of the The Complete DVD Book wouldn’t steer you wrong.

Afterward, you can not fight the crowds out of the theater and not wade through traffic on your way home. It’s a win, win situation.

Today, Chris is going to review Cloverfield and The Orphanage.

DVDs were not meant to be coasters. They’re the right size and shape, but they were meant to be enjoyed in your DVD player, not used to put cold beverages on in order to protect your furniture from rings and stains. Don’t end up with more coasters.

Find some quality entertainment for once by tuning in and listening to the Walter Cronkite of film reviews and the author of The Complete DVD Book, Film Threat’s Chris Gore. He’ll recommend some great movies and you’ll never end up with a digital video coaster again.

On today's show, Chris will review Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem, Juno and Rapid Fire.
