Star Wars: The Force Unleashed looks like it's going to be one of the best games of the year and certainly one of the best Star Wars games to ever hit consoles and we have the hard working developers at Lucas Arts to thank for it.

Want to know what's going to make this a game to rival even KOTOR and KOTOR II? Hear from the developers themselves; they've got plenty to say.

Take-Two dropped word on what will surely be a blockbuster game. If you're not excited about Borderlands, trust us, you will be before too long.

The sci-fi RPG/shooter from Gearbox features co-op with vehicles, a Fallout meets Halo look, and a gun customization system that is like nothing we have seen before. There is basically an endless number of weapons. Each boomstick has a randomizsed set of "stats," primary and secondary effects, so every one you find is different from every other.

Here's what else we know:

  * Two character classes have been revealed: "Hunter" and "Soldier."

  * Co-op, with vehicles.

  *  Set on planet Pandora, a wasteland filled with horrible beasts and enemies.

  *  Lots of gore. this is sure to be rated "M".

look for it in 2009 for the 360, PC and PS3.

City of Heroes developer Cryptic Studios is breaking through the next-gen MMO doors with Champions Online, due out next spring for the Xbox 360 and PC. Published by 2K Games, players will populate Millenium City as their very own "Champions" with tons of character customization options - Think City of Heroes taking over the classic Champions tabletop, pen and paper game.

Will this be the Xbox 360's contender against the promising DC Universe Online for the PS3? Check out the rest of Take-Two Interactive's conference here and be sure to stick with us for more E3 2008 coverage.

We just got back from Take-Two Interactive's press event at this year's E3, and, as you'd expect, we brought all the news you could possibly want. Overall, it was pretty heavy on the video montages.

'Halo Wars' Not Until 2009

Posted July 16, 2008 - By jmanalang

Originally expected for a late 2008 release, ShackNews reports that Halo Wars will not be released "until the first half of 2009", confirmed by Microsoft. The real-time strategy title, developed by Age of Empires creators Ensemble Studios, puts players in a whole new perspective of the Halo universe as they take control of the UNSC fleet. No official release date was ever announced, but many also expected that the game would make an appearance at this year's E3 - where it was no where to be found.

But Microsoft has assured us that a new Halo title from Bungie is currently under development. Stay tuned for more E3 2008 coverage.

'Dead Rising' Emerges On The Wii

Posted July 16, 2008 - By jmanalang

How did Capcom fail to announce this on their press event? Scans from Japan's revered Famitsu Weekly magazine (via WiiEveryday) indicate a Wii version of Capcom's other zombie masher, Dead Rising. Originally released for the Xbox 360 in 2006, Dead Rising is Capcom's ode to Dawn of the Dead as players take on the role Frank West, a photojournalist who gets locked up in a shopping mall full of the undead. Just like Capcom's translation of Resident Evil 4 for the Wii, expect some unique Wii-mote zombie slaying controls. No word yet on any release date here.

Check out WiiEveryday for more scans, and click here to see yesterday's Capcom press event. Keep your browsers locked on our E3 2008 coverage for more news.
