Fans who have been eagerly awaiting the long-teased third Ghostbusters movie received a bit of bad news. It seems that Bill Murray will not be doing the film.

In an interview ith The Telegraph, star, Dan Aykroyd revealed that the ongoing process of the last few years to get Bill Murray to "read the script" actually reflected the fact that he had no interest in returning to the "busting" of Ectoplasmic-Americans.

It is possible that not having Bill Murray's Peter Venkman, the wisecracking parapsychologist of the foursome be part of the new film could strike a blow that might deep-six the project altogether. However, the studio is apparently still interested in moving forward with making Ghostbusters into a trilogy.
