The Spectre TV Series Coming To Fox

It appears that The Spectre, the resident ectoplasmic superhero of DC Comics will be coming to Fox as a live-action TV series.

A creation of Superman co-creator, Jerry Siegel along with Bernard Baily, the character made his comic book debut back in 1940. The story depicts a Police Officer, Jim Corrigan, who is murdered, but finds himself as a spirit of justice whose responsibility is to help right wrongs and battle evil. His place in comic history was also set when he became a founding member of the very first super-team, The Justice Society of America.

How would the somewhat obscure character fare on a live-action TV show?

Deadpool Movie: Ryan Reynolds Gives An Update

Fans who may be wondering what happened with the Deadpool solo movie project may be encouraged to know that it's still a go. -- Maybe.

Producer (and Queen of Superhero films at Fox,) Lauren Shuler Donner recently spoke of the project, which is still prospectively set with Tim Miller in the director's chair and Ryan Reynolds reprising his X-Men Origins: Wolverine role as the crimson-clad Merc with a Mouth.

While handling interviews to promote the September 9 release of X-Men: First Class to DVD/Blu-ray, Donner found herself fielding questions about the long-teased film project that would bring super-powered, disfigured mercenary, Wade Wilson back to the big screen.

While the project is still not a 100% certainty, there does seem to be enthusiasm among the higher-ups at Fox studio to get it made.

The Wolverine To Get Rewrite

Baxter

Wolverine 2: Screenplay Finished, Shooting In January

It appears that the beleaguered prequel, The Wolverine will be getting its script tweaked. With delays galore plaguing this production, scribe, Mark Bomback will be brought in to rewrite the script by Christopher McQuarrie.

Known for his writing on the upcoming Len Wiseman Total Recall reboot, Bryan Singer's Jack the Giant Killer, and Live Free or Die Hard, Bomback has likely been brought on board to make logistical changes to the McQuarrie script.

The film will be a rendition of the famous 1982 Wolverine comic book mini-series which found the adamantium-clawed hero in Japan, searching for his past, while battling the evil ninja clan, The Hand.

Now, with director, James Mangold looking to get shooting with star, Hugh Jackman in Spring 2012, hopefully, what Bomback turns in will maintain the same spirit as the often-complimented McQuarrie script, which at one time, had Darren Aronofsky ready to helm.

Superman Man Of Steel: Close-Ups Of New Outfit

We already knew that Superman: Man of Steel would be breaking live-action history with Henry Cavill being the first version of Supes to go without the signature red undies. Well, it seems that a handful of more clear and up-close pictures have surfaced which will give us armchair directors plenty of material to analyze.

Besides providing a pretty detailed look at the scale-like tactility of the new outfit, there's also (depending on how you roll,) the added benefit of getting to know the new "Super-bulge" which now shines prominently as the Last Son of Krypton goes commando.
