Gadget Pr0n

Posted by Eugene Morton - Wednesday, February 13, 2008 4:56 PM

Technology moves and it moves fast. One day you’re feeling like hot stuff because you’re the only guy strutting around with a beige cell phone that’s the size of a brick and the next day all of your friends are laughing at you because you’ve got no idea what a Bluetooth headset is.

Nobody wants to get left behind, but with new technological marvels hitting store shelves every day, how are you supposed to figure out what smart phone is right for you or which personal media player won’t make you look like a total dork? There’s only one way, watching Gadget Pr0n with the only people who can keep you from being left in the digital dust.

Today, they'll review the Canon PowerShot SD1100.

Also, are you a friend to the Earth? Then check out GCycle... it's G4's new initiative to try and get you to be a better person and recycle tech stuff!

The Loop: Writers Writing Again

Posted by Eugene Morton - Wednesday, February 13, 2008 4:53 PM

The writers strike is over! After months of back and forth between the Writer's Guild of America and The Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the strike concluded with both groups reaching a mutually beneficial agreement over the important “internet residuals” issue.

That means that the millions of Americans clamoring for the return of their favorite shows will at last be satisfied (for a while). We'll recap the long struggle between the two powerhouses and talk about what impact the writer’s strike might have on the Actor’s Guild contract renewal in June.

Today’s guests are TV Editor for Variety, Michael Schneider and Executive News Editor of E! News, Ken Baker.

Posted by Eugene Morton - Wednesday, February 13, 2008 4:28 PM

We’d like to believe that the only guns most of you handle are the ones in Halo 3, but we’re aware that there are a few gun nuts among you. That’s cool, you guys have the right to own firearms in this country and even if you didn’t, we wouldn’t argue with you… because you’ve got guns. So, we’re just going to show you these gun blogs and hope that you don’t get into trouble. Please, don’t do anything stupid or illegal.

'Jumper' First Look

Posted by Eugene Morton - Wednesday, February 13, 2008 1:48 PM

Y’know, we love Wolverine, but if we could have the powers of any one X-Man it would be Nightcrawler (although we wouldn’t want to be plagued by his freakish outward appearance).

That’s why Jumper has us so amped.
It’s a movie about regular guys who have the power to teleport themselves anywhere in the world and live the life most of us only dream about.

Of course, they’re eventually discovered by a shadowy organization and hunted, which sucks for them, but makes for a great action flick. We don’t need to convince you, as you’ve seen the trailers, but if you haven’t (and even if you have) check out our interview with Jumper star, Samuel L. Jackson. You’ll not regret it.
