 We’ve been talking about politics all week on the show; for some of you our discussions about the upcoming election have been informative and eye opening, for others, they’ve been a mere rehearsal of what you already knew (good for you, citizen).
In any case, it can never hurt to be more informed about the political issues that affect you. Print media’s good, but you can’t get political updates at two in the morning by reading your local gazette. You’ve got to go online for the most up to date political news and commentary. Read today’s blogs and then make an informed decision in November. It’s your responsibility as an American.

The Block Invades The Winter X-Games

 Nobody likes to shred powder like the snowboarders at The Block, so it should have come as no surprise to us that those guys were going to be at this year’s Winter X-Games. They totally wiped the snow covered floor with all of the other competitors (okay, maybe that’s not precisely what happened, but they still schooled a whole bunch of other pro snowboarders).
Their skills were impressive, to say the least. Tune in and watch the rebels, who made The Block hot, do the same thing at the most extreme alternative sports competition on the globe.

 For most of us, comic book shops aren’t merely a place for buying illustrated books about costumed crusaders, they’re a haven, a safe place where we can talk about the titans which occupy worlds that only exist on the printed page and in our collective imagination.
They are a place to seriously discuss the pitfalls and triumphs of the dedicated super heroes we love and malevolent villains we loathe.
For the faithful, they have a sacred quality to them and nothing ruins that feeling of sanctity more than returning home from the local shop for some quality reading time only to discover that you’ve purchased, polybagged and boarded the print and paper equivalent of a Uwe Boll film.
Don’t let that happen. Hear what comic expert Blair Butler has to say about this week’s slew of releases and avoid breaking into another fit of nerd rage.
