Slamdance 2008Posted by Eugene Morton - Thursday, January 24, 2008 2:11 PM
Thankfully, someone decided to carry on the independent film festival spirit in an offshoot called Slamdance, where non-mainstream films could be given their moment in the sun. So, take some time out of your day to enjoy fine art. You might even get extra credit in your Film Appreciation class (check with your professor first).

Although we’ve got nothing against Sundance, it has become a bit commercial. The festival started off as a place for filmmakers, who couldn’t get their films shown anywhere else, to display their art. That’s not necessarily the case anymore.
With a nickname like the Motor City, you had better believe that Detroit knows what it’s doing as far as automobiles are concerned. Heck, it’s the headquarters of General Motors for goodness’ sake.
When we first heard that Sylvester Stallone was making another Rocky film and another Rambo film, we cringed. Then, on a dare, we saw the new Rocky and we were blown away. Far from being the abomination we thought it would be, the movie was unexpectedly inspirational and moving.
Good day, sirs and welcome back to the Attack. On today’s show we’ll preview the new Rambo film, witness the decline of the human race in Great Moments in De-Evolution and we’ll drool over the cool rides at the Detroit Auto Show. On AOTS we try every day to give you more bang for your entertainment dollar.
