Alright, we’re officially living in a Sci-Fi movie. Look at the proof; crazy, futuristic automobiles, rings that transmit personal information, water filters. Alright, not that last thing. Still, you’ve gotta’ admit, that other stuff is straight out of Robotech or Flash Gordon or something.

You don’t, especially when you can still hear about 2008’s greatest flicks without ever getting off your couch. Yep, we know, it was pretty generous of us to cover this year’s festival solely for your benefit, but that’s just the kind of people we are.

The Loop: Time Warner’s TiersPosted by Eugene Morton - Wednesday, January 23, 2008 11:46 AM
Time Warner Cable is looking to change the pricing scheme for its broadband internet service and the change will more than likely upset bandwidth hogs who like to do a little more on the internet than casually peruse web pages. Right now, the company is trying out tiered internet pricing in Beaumont, Texas in order to determine whether or not said pricing will be successful in other markets. The plan is to ultimately charge heavy internet users more than other subscribers instead of the current flat rate for all users. Will tiered internet pricing benefit or gouge customers? To answer that question, we’ll welcome the Executive Editor for Cnet and Host of Buzz Out Loud, Tom Merritt and Business Week’s Catherine Holahan.

Cinema buffs know that there’s no better place to get an early look at the year’s biggest films than at Sundance. Unfortunately, doing so requires getting some scratch together, taking days off of work and traveling to an abominably cold Utah. Who needs that?
Technology moves and it moves fast. One day you’re feeling like hot stuff because you’re the only guy strutting around with a beige cell phone that’s the size of a brick and the next day all of your friends are laughing at you because you’ve got no idea what a Bluetooth headset is.
The Attack is in full effect today, people and here’s the proof. On today’s show we’ll get you into the movies at the Sundance Film Festival, we’ll review the latest tech gizmos in Gadget Pr0n and we’ll discuss what’s happening with Time Warner’s internet service The Loop. See, full effect, not just three quarters effect.
