Have you ever gone into an electronics store looking for a piece of equipment, lets say a 1080p TV set, to complement your swank bachelor pad and had the salesman try to sell you an over priced, under performing piece of crap? Who cares if he has one of them at home?
From the moment he opens his mouth you get the feeling that he's trying harder to make a sale than he is to help you. We know that sucks and that’s why we came up with Gadget Pr0n. We’re here to inform and enlighten you about all things electronic. Plus, you can trust us, because we don’t get paid based on commission.
On today's show, we’ll review the Acoustic Research WHT6024 5.1 Wireless Speaker System.
Also, are you a friend to the Earth? Then check out GCycle... it's G4's new initiative to try and get you to be a better person and recycle tech stuff!

Excess wealth; far too few of us have it and we could all use a little more of it. For those of you who do have some, it’s time to spend it. You have the option of buying stuff that most people can only dream of.
It's not because it’s so expensive, but because everybody is too concerned about paying bills to even think about buying some of today’s products. Doesn’t it feel good to be flush with greenbacks?

Zach In Hong Kong: Kung Fu
Posted by Eugene Morton - Monday, January 14, 2008 2:17 PM
We’d all love it if, like in The Matrix, we could download knowledge of Kung Fu directly into our brains, but we can’t. That fact really bummed Zach Selwyn out, but instead of crying like a baby, he decided that he would go about learning martial arts the hard way, by traveling to a Kung Fu school in Hong Kong and not leaving till he had become a Grand Master.
On his first day he was tossed around like a rag doll (which looked really good on film). Zach then came to the conclusion that his gig on AOTS was pretty sweet and he didn’t really want to spend years training in a dojo. Learn from his folly later today on The Attack!

The Loop: Gizmodo's Antics
Posted by Eugene Morton - Monday, January 14, 2008 11:32 AM
It’s a dark time for tech blog, Gizmodo. During the biggest electronics show in the world, CES, one of the site’s employees, Richard Blakeley thought it would be a good idea to use a TV-Be Gone to turn off several TVs and monitors being exhibited.
While his intent may not have been malicious, Blakeley has been banned from CES and several major companies like Panasonic are steaming mad. Were Blakeley’s antics mostly harmless or does he deserve severe punishment?
To answer that question, we’ll welcome Editor for Cnet, Rafe Needleman and Managing Editor at Silicon Alley Insider, Peter Kafka.
