Attack This: The Tech That Binds
Posted by Eugene Morton - Friday, January 11, 2008 4:39 PM
Not every device you buy needs to connect you wirelessly to some satellite so that you can make a business call to a remote region half a world away. That’s a fallacy. Some tech products should be purchased just because they’re fun to play with and they bring you closer to your pals.
When it comes down to it, would you rather use Bluetooth to make conference calls or utilize the advances in modern science to goof off with your friends?

Alright, put that Hi8 camcorder away, stop listening to those cassette tapes and for the love of Blu-ray, hide that Betamax player!
There’s no reason to hang on to technology from the 80’s (or the 90’s for that matter). We understand, years ago, before AOTS, there was no way you could know that laser discs weren’t going to make a comeback.
Now, there are people here to help you sort that kind of stuff out. Please, accept their help. You don’t want your friends and family to perform a gadget intervention, do you?
Today, they'll review the BlackJack II.
Also, are you a friend to the Earth? Then check out GCycle... it's G4's new initiative to try and get you to be a better person and recycle tech stuff!

In The Moonlight
Posted by Eugene Morton - Friday, January 11, 2008 10:54 AM
You know how chocolate and peanut butter taste great separately, but even better together? Moonlight is kind of like that. The show’s creators took a dash of hard boiled detective, added a pinch of blood sucking vampire and came up with this wonderful amalgam that is oh so sweet.
We bet that description has those nerd taste glands salivating right now. Good, because we’re going to talk to the stars of the show today and give you a little taste of the supernatural dish de jour that is Moonlight. Come hungry.

Zach In Hong Kong: The Journey Continues
Posted by Eugene Morton - Friday, January 11, 2008 10:51 AM
Just because you live in America, that doesn’t mean you have to travel over seas to learn about Asian culture. You just have to watch AOTS.
Why? Well, because Zach Selwyn traveled to Hong Kong to discover all that he could about the Far East, so you wouldn't have to set foot on foreign soil.
You see, on AOTS we find ways to make learning fun and easy! No, really, we do. Please, believe us or at least see for yourself before you leap to judgment.

The Loop: Week In Review
Posted by Eugene Morton - Friday, January 11, 2008 10:25 AM
We do some amazing things on Attack of the Show every day, but one of the most amazing things we do is cram an entire week’s worth of stories into one segment. How do we do it? That’s not important (though sometimes we impress even ourselves).
What is important is that we bring you the most in depth coverage, complete with expert commentary, of the news stories, trends and current events that are important to you. What other news source in the world would utilize a team of panelists to talk about something like American Gladiators.
Today’s guests will include Staff Writer for Cnet, Caroline McCarthy, Editor for Chud, Devin Faraci and the Senior Videogames Editor for Penthouse Magazine, Rebecca Swanner.
They’ll discuss the Wii Fit, the return of American Gladiators, the impact that the WGA strike may have on Comic-Con and Electronic Gaming Monthly’s problems with Sony, Ubisoft and Midway.
