Cordless mice are fine for biz boys and couch potatoes, but real shooters know that even the slightest latency can mean a short, splattery trip to Fragtown. That’s why I dig the Diamondback optical mouse, which is hardwired and boasts a resolution of 1600 dpi.

And finally, what swinging game room would be complete without a ferociously ugly controller from Freaks by Philips? The PS2 Samurai is actually frightening, but I kind of dug the bejeweled nubbins on their Xbox Dragon. But that’s me.

Interesting stuff, and I’m glad I had a chance to check out all the cool new gaming tech. But some girl hit me. I’ve had it. I’m not going back to E3 for at least a year. Oh, wait…
