Here are some of the more interesting concept cars at this year's Los Angeles Auto Show:

Shelby GR-1
The Ford Shelby GR-1 is a concept car, but we may see it in 2007. This is actually one of the rare examples of an original sketch made into a running vehicle. It has a 6.4L v10 engine with 610 horsepower.

Jeep Rescue
The Jeep rescue is kind of like a Hummer without the small-man complex. It has a 12-inch LCD display on the dash and a 3-D topographical navigation system so there is absolutely no way you can get lost. It has an open-air roof system, meaning there’s a sun roof in the front and back. The Rescue rises an additional 4 inches in case you drive across a river, and emergency warning lamps when you get stuck.

Chrysler ME Four-Twelve
The Chrysler ME Four-Twelve goes really, really fast. The “Four” means quad turbo and the “Twelve” means twelve cylinders. It has 850 horsepower at 5,750 rpm. It goes 248 mph and 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds.

Mitsubishi Sport Truck
The Mitsubishi sport concept truck is both rugged and sleek. It has no door handles and is fully automatic. It sports a V-8 engine and LED lights surrounding the interior so it feels like you’re driving in a nightclub.

Cop Car
This is a Ford Crown Victoria with flashing lights and a shotgun. (Shotgun optional. Also, you must be a police officer.)
