This weekend when you're gonna cold chillin', maxin' and relaxin', why not call up a lady and ask her to join you for a flick? Who knows, you may be able to score a smooch or two while you're at it. Here are three geeked-out ways to help you with your movie watching.
Before you head to the box office to drop some serious bling on two tix, read the scores of all the hot movies in the theaters right now over at metacritic.com. This is where you can find an overall rating score based on the scores given to the movie buy 15-50 different newspaper critics around the world, along with users of the site. In addition to the movie reviews you can also peep what the critics had to say about DVDs, games, and music. Rock your body, body.
If you're feeling like you wanna just stay at home to view the new-new, try downloading flicks to your box's hard drive. There are a number of sites that offer this service, Movielink and CinemaNow being the two most popular. Starz and Real have teamed up to get in on the action, too, but I'm kinda over my RealPlayer right now. I'm liking
CinemaNow because you have the option to rent or buy, and the selection is pretty dope as well as the interface.
Lastly, if you're a movie hoe and you own a ton that you're done watching, mediachest.com allows you to swap your warez in an interesting and novel way, via snail mail ;-). Sign up on the site the way you do most social networking sites, profile and all, and start seeing who wants to trade goods. Once you find a nice barter, go ahead and send them off and wait for your mailman like a deadbeat on the 15th.
Cat's suggestion if you wanna get down: Get a blindfold and some fruit then get a copy of 9 1/2 Weeks. Good luck my friend.
