Jeremy's Top 10 Painter 7 Tips

  1. Sit comfortably.
  2. Envision your goal.
  3. Start Painter afresh for every project.
  4. Simplify your palette arrangement.
  5. Always work on a clone copy.
  6. Mount your canvas (Cmd/Ctrl + M).
  7. Save versions frequently. Use Save As.
  8. Be consistent and organized in naming your creations.
  9. Be committed to your brush strokes.
  10. Paint from the heart.

  1. Start by mucking it up!
  2. Fill your canvas with brush strokes.
  3. Make brush strokes that follow form.
  4. Make a painting with one brush only.
  5. Paint with your unfavored hand.
  6. Make Clone and Save As buttons.
  7. Select All before recording a script.
  8. Always paint with tone, whatever the color.
  9. Use Adjust Colors effect to see tone.
  10. Expect the "ugly" stage.
