Hajiki & Lightning
A busy, but enthusiastic 16 yr. old who motors between delivering packages, living in a fatherless home, and attending Church school. His special destiny with heroism begins when a GAD bonds with him to form the mighty TECHODE, LIGHTNING.

Katana & Zero
A shady 18 yr. old loner and former work-for-hire bodyguard robot pilot who works for criminals or clients; whoever pays the bills. When a GAD bonds with him to form the strong TECHODE, ZERO, he'd like nothing more than to knock HAJIKI and LIGHTNING around a bit.

Aiko & Messerschmitt
A 15 yr. old adopted daughter of a rich electricity entrepreneur who's cheerful despite her demanding father. She also bonded with a GAD and now controls the green TECHODE known as MESSERSCHMITT.

Takumi & Thunderbolt
A 16 yr. old orphan boy who lives alone in Day Town. Takumi is a gentleman with a strong sense of justice. His TECHODE is named THUNDERBOLT.

Hachisuka
The older boss of Hajiki who owns HACHISUKA EXPRESS and who always has a story of his youth to tell - but no one to listen.

Arashi
A new girl and classmate to Hajiki who runs away from home and becomes Hajiki's friend. She witnesses the birth of TECHODE LIGHTNING and also develops a crush on Hajiki.

Catherine
A secret agent who tries to acquire GAD stones through illegal means. She is fascinated by the GAD's secrets and the TECHODE's ability. She also witnesses the birth of TECHODE LIGHTNING.
