Posted By: Patrick Roche-Sowa - Thursday, January 24, 2008 11:55 AM

At this year's CES, the war between HD Disc formats heated up. With Warner Bros. announcement of Blu-Ray exclusivity right before the convnetion, HDDVD canceled their presentation, which prompted a lot of people to project they've lost the battle and maybe the war.

Anthony Jasionowski, Group Leader from Panasonic, gave us a short overview or Blu-Ray technology, player prices, and what they're looking forward to in the future of high definition home theater. Check it out.

...and eamadden06 is a tool and doesn't do research because that rumor was debunked. Sadly however the paramount 150 million from toshiba is true so suck on that hd-dvd.

funny how they don't mention that if you buy a blu-ray player now, you won't be able to update to profile 2.0 which means you won't be able to use a lot of special features in future blu-ray movie releases. Odd.........

Funny how Microsoft didn't mention that they were selling you a piece of crap that they slapped together hastily.

@eamadden06, yeah that blu-ray pat off rumor wasnt true, you need to read more before you look stupid, also most blu-ray player can recieve firmware updates kinda like the PS3, but even if they cant, most people arent buying blu-ray players rite now unless it is a ps3, but you can get the sony version for 349.99 and circuit city had the sony player on sale a couple weeks ago for 299.99 online only but in a couple months youll see them for 150.00 and up

When did you switch to High Def ?
