Panasonic's New EVOLTA Battery
Posted By: Brian Leahy - Wednesday, January 16, 2008 2:05 PM

It seems to be battery news day in the tech world. Panasonic has announced a new line of alkaline batteries that should last 1.3 to 2 times longer than the current ones.

The EVOLTAs should release on April 26th and will carry at 15% price increase over the standard AA batteries. Sounds like a perfect product for Wiimotes and 360 controllers.

It seems that lately whoever the people are that post these bulletins/blogs, post them twice. I commented to practically the same thing, but written up differently. If you think that you're running out of ideas, you're not. You guys have plenty of new things for me to always read about! =]

hmmm... rechargeable batteries are 7 bucks for pack of 2 - double As price of regualr batteries is, i think, 3 bucks for 4 AA... Recahrgable last 2 to 4x longer than regular... If these batteries are out, 4 bucks for a pack of 4.. Still isnt as good as rechargables.. only reasonable to have lower battery prices, or higher price on rechargable batteries, so that buying regular batteries is worth not buying
